Admit it: Are you feeling a little over your work lately?
You have multiple items on your list that you keep slipping to tomorrow, next week, next month, or even next quarter.
There’s just that something blocking you mentally from doing it, starting it and finishing it.
It could be one or a combination of…
✔️Perfectionism – You think it’s not good enough for others to see or buy, so you keep tweaking it.
✔️Procrastination – You think you aren’t “ready,” so you stall.
✔️Imposter syndrome – You think others are doing this better or with more credibility, so you withhold acting on it.
You practice using the words “I should” which puts you in a place of guilt, no matter what kind of mental block you have above. This also makes putting off tasks and projects more burdensome.“I should” is no way to build a sustainable business; nevermind keep the passion between yourself and your work alive. These “I shoulds” lead to burnout… or paralyzing inaction.
Let’s change that!
No “I should”, more “I want!” Repeat after me:
✔️ I want to show up consistently for my audience and my clients
✔️ I want to offer this service because I love helping my clients
✔️ I want to work from 9am to 3pm each day and then put my phone and computer away, so I can be there for my spouse, my kids, my family, my friends, my community
✔️ I want to be booked out with clients that respect me, the work I do, and my boundaries
Another culprit to your dwindling work passion? Being stuck!
When you’re stuck in tasks that are not only outside of your wheelhouse, but you also don’t enjoy, you will burn out. I’m not saying stop doing everything you hate! You probably wouldn’t have a business if you did that. But you can stop offering things in your services that you don’t like doing like…
- You can hire a VA to manage your inbox and your Dubsado (or HubSpot).
- You can have a bookkeeper manage your accounting.
- You can automate your attraction funnel with ads.
- You can hire a social media coordinator to help with posting and engagement.
- You can buy templates to create better graphics, quicker.
- You can hire me to help you figure all of this out!!!
What do you need to stop doing to love your work again? Because people need you, your ideas, your knowledge, and your service.
You are credible, capable, and worthy of success.
Let’s do the following exercise:
Fold a piece of paper in half.
On one half, list all the tasks you do.
On the other, list what you enjoy.
Compare & make adjustments!
Do you see a difference in your work mindset yet? Just by changing your vocabulary and pinpointing the kind of help you need, should be sending some relief your way.
Could today be the day you get those projects and tasks done? Or could today be the time you reach-out for some help? If it’s the latter, I’m here to help get you back on track. Let’s chat about it on a free discovery call.
